The End of the “Man-ly Man”
The End of the “Man-ly Man”

We used to refer to men who used beauty products and who got beauty treatments as “metro-sexuals.”  These metro-sexuals were rare, predominantly younger men living in the big cities.  But now, men are feeling increased pressure to look better and younger.

Marketing company J Walter Thompson surveyed 100 men in the US and the UK.  The study titled “The State of Men” revealed that 54 percent of men regularly use skincare products such as moisturizer and eye cream.  The study also found that 33 percent of men use hair removal products, nine percent use foundation, 11 percent use bronzer and 10 percent apply concealer.

When it comes to beauty treatments, 29 percent of men get manicures, 24 percent have facials, and 13 percent book in for eyebrow waxing appointments.

Does it seem as if you’re running out of your products more quickly lately?  Ask your man why his skin looks so good!
