Rocker Adam Levine is on board to produce an upcoming TV mini-series about the music business in the 1970s.

The Maroon 5 frontman has already showed off his acting skills in movie musical “Begin Again,” and now he is stepping behind the camera as a producer to work on a program tentatively titled “The 1970s” through his 222 Productions company.

The series will take a look back at the music industry through the eyes of the music executives and artists who helped create the most influential and memorable tracks from that decade.

The show will also feature contemporary artists re-recording classic hits from the era, and Levine has already been involved in the casting process and song choices for the project.
