LOS ANGELES (AP) — “The Price is Right” will air a special milestone birthday celebration for former host Bob Barker on what will be his 90th birthday.

Barker celebrated his birthday with an appearance on the game show. While the episode was taped in November, it airs on Dec. 12, Barker’s birthday.

He retired as host in 2007 after 35 years with “The Price is Right.”

The show also has been paying tribute to Barker’s longtime animal activism by featuring pet adoptions during the week of Dec. 9-13.

Barker made headlines last month after spending $1 million on elephants, saying he plans to spend his money on causes he cares about while he can still enjoy it and plans to “die broke.”

“The Price is Right,” with host Drew Carey, airs weekdays at 11 a.m. Eastern.
