Virginia Gets New Voter ID Law This Summer

Virginia will hold one more general election and one more primary before new voter ID requirements take effect. Scottsville, Waynesboro and Staunton are among the localities where voters will go to the polls for May 6th local elections. Voters in some Virginia congressional districts will select party nominees for the House in a June 10th primary.  The State Board of Elections has flyers that explain Virginia’s new voter ID law that takes effect July 1st.
