The DMV and the State Police wants new owners to get Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) labeling. Sunni Brown of the DMV says every car or truck carries a federally assigned unique VIN. Brown says VIN labeling does not change the appearance of your vehicle. She says you can hardly see it, but thieves know right where to look.
